Baltic Birch Plywood
Derek says:
3/8" straight bit, use 11000 RPM, 4 inch/sec, 1/4" pass depth
Decent finish for best speed

Aluminum:

  • cut depth = 0.12 inches
  • tool = 1/4" straight (1 flute - one of the 1/4" straight tools will have these settings already since I did some yesterday, but double check)
  • pass depth = 0.07" (metal cuts should be very shallow!)
  • RPM = 10000
  • feed rate = 0.3"/sec (very slow for metal)
  • plunge rate = 0.06"/sec
  • INSIDE profile
  • 0.2x0.2 non-3D tabs at each end
